Lumina Metals Brand & Website Launch
Lumina Metals is a Vancouver-Warsaw based mining company advancing one of Europe’s most significant new copper-silver opportunities. We rebranded and launched their website in time for their IPO, where they tripled their target raising $297 million.
Brief
The Lumina Metals Team is backed by the expertise of Canadian mining icon Ross Beaty. The "Lumina" name has been with Beaty for many years, and so there needed to be heritage and authority tied to the icon and brand system. We also wanted to anchor the brand identity to Poland, where the copper-silver discoveries were made.
Idea
We introduced a brand palette that carried silver and grey base tones, and a high energy Copper Blaze to denote energy and heat; with a deep gradient blue that indicated depth (where the team will be mining underground). The Eagle icon was inspired by the Polish Coat of Arms, the famous White Eagle, staring intently from the three Lumina discoveries East, towards Warsaw. It is an angular icon, designed to display well at all sizes, and not lose its integrity over time when printed on field materials, and mining signage. The finish is inpired by metal sheets cut into sharp, strong pieces. The Lumina wordmark links back to the founding logo, where we consolidated it, increased its stature, weight and width to match the seriousness of the industry and business of mining. The complete brand system works in harmony from digital to print, to internal document use.
Delivery
The new Lumina Metals website was built on Framer.com with a full Document Asset Management system integrated with AWS. There is an internal Brand Hub, custom built for the team, where they can access all their brand collateral, print assets, approve new work, generate email signatures, and download corporate decks.
